Reverend Takashi Kodaka

Rev. Takashi Kodaka, Director of RKINA

Reverend Takashi Kodaka was born in Ehime, Japan. From first grade, he lived with his grandparents from whom he became familiar with Rissho Kosei-kai teachings. Kodaka later attended Ehime University where he studied childhood special education.

During the year of the 50th anniversary of Rissho Kosei-kai’s founding, Kodaka entered Gakurin Seminary. After completing his studies there, he completed his Masters in the History of Religions at the Divinity School of the University of Chicago.

While working at Rissho Kosei-kai headquarters, Kodaka served in the Youth Division, and the Secretarial, Planning, Gakurin Seminary Koju, and Dharma Dissemination Media groups. He was also the minister of Rissho Kosei-kai of Los Angeles from 2009 to 2013.

He was named the Director of Rissho Kosei-kai International of North America in 2018.

Rev. Kodaka lives in California with his wife, Ms. Rinko Kimino, who has authored books on Japanese traditional culture, such as Kabuki and Kimono.
