Interfaith Day of Reflection and Action
The Interfaith Alliance Foundation of Oklahoma held its 8th annual Interfaith Day of Reflection and Action on Thursday, May 5th, at the Rissho Kosei-kai Dharma Center in Oklahoma City. The event included a panel of representatives from the religious community and those from non-faith traditions as well. Speakers included: Rev. Kris Ladusau (Buddhist - RK Dharma Center of Oklahoma ), Saad Mohammed (Islam), Nicholas Singer (secular humanist), Rabbi Abby Jacobson (Judaism), Bhupinder SinghObhrai (Sikh), LJ Ward (Cherokee and Hawaiian), Rev. Kathy Weaver (Christian), Rev. Noel Gray (homeless refuge fellowship).
The panel reflected on the topic of what motivates them to be of service in the world.
Donations received were distributed equally in support of the work of Refuge Fellowship Church in Oklahoma City and relief efforts for those made homeless in the Japan earthquake.
